![]() Not only that, but the whole "grounded in reality" part of her superpowers go out the window when she literally fights satan with her superpowers. She is having temper tantrums the entire show and never treats another human being with respect throughout the whole show. She's kind of like a grown up in a child's body in that sense, but she is RELATABLE because she is so clueless about the real world and her powers are grounded in reality. She goes from being a strange, likable kid that is endearing because she's actually wise and mature and understands things that the adults don't. The treatment of Eleven in Season 2 is one of the worst I've ever seen in a sequel. He goes from being a nice but witty kid to a complete a-hole. Season 2: Mike disappears for half of the season and when we do see him, he's got a stick so far up his butt you can see splinters every time he opens his mouth. Season 1: we fall in love with Mike And Eleven because they're the stars, we know they're the stars, and we see them interact with each other and other people and learn from those interactions that they're both kind and protecting people. It was textbook "How To Ruin Great Character Development and Marginalize Your Best Characters 101," IMO.
